The FriendDA
A short agreement between friends.
Who this is between
This agreement is between you (the person passing through a gated page or signing a FriendDA via our engagement form) and Onto Ecosystems Inc. ("Onto", a Delaware corporation). It is mutual: the obligations apply both ways.
What it covers
When you read gated material on this website — the Kairos, Chronos, Idios, or /deeper pages — you may encounter early-stage product designs, financial models, operating systems, brand language, organizational structures, partnership intentions, and creative work that is not yet public ("Confidential Material").
You agree not to share Confidential Material with anyone outside your immediate trusted circle of advisors and not to publicly reproduce, repackage, or take credit for it. You will treat what you read here with the same care you would extend to a friend showing you early work.
What it does not cover
Things you already knew before reading this page, things that become public through no fault of yours, things you develop independently without reference to what you saw here, and things a court orders you to disclose. None of those are protected by this agreement, because none of those would be fair to bind you on.
For how long
Three years from the date you first read gated material, or until Onto publicly releases that material (whichever comes first). After that, the obligation lapses naturally.
What you get in return
Onto agrees to keep anything you share with us in confidence under the same terms. If you tell us about a project, a person, a deal, or an idea in the course of these conversations, it stays with us. We will not repeat it without your permission.
Published prior art
This page is published publicly and timestamped. The following ideas, as configured by Onto, are described here as a matter of public record so that no third party may later claim sole patent or proprietary right over these specific configurations:
(1) Kairos: a nature-based hospitality and immersive entertainment operation organized into 3-day, 144-participant productions, run twice weekly across a 32-production season, framed inside a single storyworld narrative, served by twelve archetypal guides and twelve guild functions.
(2) Chronos: a two-sided coordination platform for shared time, organized around the six-question coordination primitive (who, when, where, why, how, what), with a readiness-based unlock sequence that gates commitment behind progressive question-answering.
(3) Idios: a personal data reclamation product that pulls a person's digital footprint from third-party platforms (Google, Meta, Apple, and others), organizes it privately, and returns it as memory the person owns.
(4) The Onto Studio: a parent C-corporation structure that funds a cohort of ventures from a single round at the parent level, deploys capital into individual ventures by stage, retains its position as each venture raises independently, and compounds returns across a portfolio rather than betting on a single exit.
(5) The Time Economy: the framing of the total global spend on designed time — hospitality, festivals, retreats, studios, parks, wellness — as a single addressable market category, and the construction of infrastructure to serve it.
The publication of these configurations does not constitute a grant of any license to use them. It establishes that Onto described them publicly on this date, which is sufficient to invalidate any later third-party patent claim over the same specific configurations.
If we ever disagree
If something goes wrong, write to us first at oi@onto.eco and we will try to resolve it directly. If we cannot, this agreement is governed by the laws of Delaware. Any formal dispute will be heard in Delaware state or federal court.
The spirit of it
This is a small, friendly document. It exists because we are sharing work that has taken years to develop, with people we trust to handle it well. We are not trying to box you in. We are asking you to keep early-stage things early-stage until they are ready to be released into the world. We agree to extend the same courtesy to anything you share with us.
By passing through any password-gated page on this site, you acknowledge you have read this FriendDA and agree to its terms.
